Open Evening Excitement
We had an explosively good time at our Open Evening on Thursday 26th September at Sacred Heart Catholic Academy.
The evening was absolutely jam-packed with activities across departments and so many families supporting school, hearing about what makes being part of the Sacred Heart family so special.
Our busy corridors were full of excitement as future pupils took part in myriad activities and heard wonderful talks and testimonials from staff, pupils and parents.
Prospective pupils, parents and carers were able to take part in everything from creating philosophy trees in RE to dramatic improvisation, from witches spells in English to a taste of France in MFL.
"I really liked it. Personal, warm and friendly and family oriented - sounds like a good pastoral system as well. Very impressed! "
We couldn't have been more proud of our pupils and staff - they were terrific ambassadors for Sacred Heart Catholic Academy, living out our values through each talk, demonstration and conversation.
Classrooms were alive with pupils challenging parents with maths puzzles, showcasing live work in the art department and even collaborating on a community 'LOVE' art project, serving up hands on science exhibitions, showcasing teams, clubs and achievements in PE, performing all night in our studio and so much more!
We were especially delighted to host talks from parents who provided real insight into the experience of support and communication they have received as a family attending Sacred Heart - thank you!
We have already received fantastic feedback from parents - don't forget you can tell us what you thought here. Our admin team would love to arrange tours for any families who are unable to attend or who would like to find out more.
