Boy and girls football teams are up for the cups

It has been a good start to 2024 for two of our football teams, after they progressed to the next rounds of their respective cup competitions.

The Year 9 & 10 Girls’ football team is through to the last 16 of the Merseyside Cup after beating Upton Hall 3-1.

Poppy scored in the first half, with Grace and Nicole netting after the break. Coaches’ player went to Olivia for her excellent saves and strong command from the back.

Meanwhile, the Year 10 Boys’ football team is through to the next round of the Sefton Cup following a nail biting penalty shootout against Litherland High after the game had finished 0-0.
